## In brief

- Police arrested five individuals, including a 16-year-old girl, during an anti-drug operation in St Paul's Bay.
- Officers seized roughly 150 sachets of suspected cocaine and cannabis during a search of an apartment.
- A 20-year-old suspect was arraigned in court on possession and trafficking charges and granted bail.

Police in St Paul's Bay arrested five people, including a 16-year-old girl, following a targeted operation into suspected narcotics trafficking.

Officers carried out the raid on Monday evening after executing a search warrant at an apartment in the locality, following reports and surveillance in the area.

During the search, investigators discovered approximately 150 sachets containing suspected illicit substances, later identified in court proceedings as cocaine and cannabis prepared for distribution.

Following the operation, a 20-year-old man was escorted to court and formally charged with offences relating to the possession and alleged trafficking of both substances.

The court granted the 20-year-old bail under conditions determined by the presiding magistrate, while broader investigations into the case continue.

Police inquiries regarding the remaining individuals apprehended during the raid, including the minor, remain ongoing.
