Animal Welfare officials, supported by the Malta Police Force, recently rescued 13 dogs found in unsuitable conditions. The operation was announced by Parliamentary Secretary for Animal Rights Alicia Bugeja Said.

The dogs, which included fox terriers, pitbulls, and a Labrador, were allegedly in urgent need of veterinary care.

Sources indicate that the individual from whom the dogs were confiscated had previously faced fines for animal cruelty. The Directorate for Animal Welfare is continuing its investigations into the matter.
