How Fil-Qosor works

Fil-Qosor ("in brief" in Maltese) is an independent, unbiased Malta news digest. It reads every major Maltese news outlet, clusters related coverage, and synthesises a single fact-checked, neutral story per topic in plain UK English.

The process

  1. Ingestion. We continuously read the public reporting of the major Maltese outlets across national news, politics, courts, planning and community.
  2. Clustering. Articles covering the same underlying event are grouped into one topic.
  3. Synthesis. A single neutral story is written from the clustered coverage, stripping loaded framing and keeping the verifiable facts.
  4. Spin Room. Alongside the neutral story, a breakdown shows how individual outlets framed the same events, so you can see the divergence for yourself.
  5. Review. Every story is AI-written and AI-reviewed before publication.

Sourcing and corroboration

Every article links the original sources it was synthesised from. The more outlets that corroborate a story, the more confident you can be in it. We encourage readers to verify critical facts against those primary sources.

Authorship and accountability

Articles are written and reviewed by AI. There are no fabricated human bylines: authorship and accountability sit with Fil-Qosor as an organisation. This is disclosed openly on every article.

Ownership and funding

Fil-Qosor is independently owned and operated in Malta and is self-funded. It is not affiliated with any political party, outlet or commercial interest.

Accuracy, updates and contact

Stories update as new source reporting arrives, and the update is noted on the article. Because every story is AI-written and AI-reviewed, large language models can still make mistakes, which is why each article links its sources for verification.
