Sliema has once again been identified as Malta's most expensive locality for property in 2025. Data released indicates that apartment prices per square metre in the area were, on average, 61% higher than the national average.
This figure represents a 2% increase compared to the previous year, extending Sliema's run at the top of the property market to at least three consecutive years. The National Statistics Office provided these figures, highlighting the continued premium associated with property in this central Maltese town.
While Sliema and St Julian's are noted as the priciest areas for flats, the data also showed that Xewkija and Sannat in Gozo were among the cheapest localities for property.
New figures released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Thursday confirm that apartments in Sliema and St Julian's continue to be the most expensive per square metre in Malta.
The NSO data also highlighted that the price gap between Malta's and Gozo's property markets has widened further.
