Judge Edwina Grima, however, rejected this request. She stated that there was not enough basis to dissolve the ongoing trial.
The request was made as the trial continues for the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. The court's decision means the proceedings will continue as planned, despite the defence's concerns regarding external information influencing the jury.
