Equality Minister Rosianne Cutajar has filed a report with the police after a social media user posted comments praising the alleged killers of Lassana Cisse.

The offensive remark was left beneath a Times of Malta video on TikTok that outlined the background of the 2019 fatal drive-by shooting in Ħal Far.

In the post, the user remarked that it was "a pity" that two other men targeted during the incident had survived their injuries.

Cutajar condemned the comment as an overt act of racism, noting that celebrating such violence could not be tolerated or left unaddressed.

The minister confirmed that she submitted the details to law enforcement authorities so that the individual responsible could be identified and investigated.

Cisse, a 42-year-old father from the Ivory Coast, was killed in April 2019 in an attack widely regarded as Malta's first racially motivated murder.
